Live Games
A live game is filmed. There is a dealer in a studio, a real deck or a real wheel, and a camera pointed at it. You place bets through an overlay and the result is whatever physically happened on the table. No random number generator is involved in the outcome, which is the entire appeal.
The section splits into two halves that have almost nothing in common. Classic tables carry the best returns in a casino. Game shows carry some of the worst. They sit in the same lobby under the same heading, and the gap between them is around four percent of everything you stake.

Two rows deserve attention. Lightning Roulette looks like a better game than plain roulette because of the multipliers, and it is slightly worse: the 50x to 500x prizes are funded by cutting the straight number payout from 35 to 1 down to 29 to 1. And the baccarat tie bet, which pays 8 to 1 and sits invitingly in the middle of the table, costs fourteen times what the banker bet costs.
Side bets are where the money goes
Blackjack at 0.5% is the cheapest game in the building, and almost nobody plays it at 0.5%, because the table offers extras that look small and are not.

A 5 side bet next to a 50 main hand is a quarter of the stake carrying most of the cost. Insurance is the one worth being blunt about: it is offered every time the dealer shows an ace, it is presented as protection, and it is a losing bet for anyone who is not counting cards. Decline it.
Who runs the studios
Evolution runs most of what you will see, including the Ezugi and NetEnt live tables it now owns and every game show worth naming. Pragmatic Play Live is the main alternative and has closed most of the quality gap on the classic tables. Playtech supplies a smaller share, usually at casinos with a longer history.
Availability is licensed country by country, so the live lobby is the part of a casino most likely to look different from where you are sitting than it does in the screenshots. A site advertising Evolution may carry only part of the catalogue in your region, and the game shows are usually the first things missing.
Some larger operators run dedicated tables, which are branded rooms exclusive to that casino. They are a marketing feature rather than a mathematical one. The rules and the return are the same as the generic table next to them, and occasionally the limits are worse. One thing no live studio offers, at any casino: a round you can verify yourself. A live table is a physical wheel or a real deck on a provider’s server, so there is no seed pair and nothing to recompute. Whatever a crypto casino says about being provably fair applies to its own crash and dice games and stops at the door of the live lobby. Limits, timing and what happens when the connection drops
Live tables have fixed minimum and maximum stakes and a betting window of 10 to 20 seconds. That window is the real constraint on the game: you cannot pause to think, and a hand of blackjack played properly needs a decision inside it.
On a crypto casino the limits are set in a fiat currency and converted, so a table advertised at a 1 minimum is a fraction of a coin that moves with the market. Check the table limit in your own balance before sitting down rather than after.
If your connection drops mid-hand the bet stands. The dealer plays the hand out, and in blackjack an unanswered decision is treated as a stand on your current total. Nothing is refunded and nothing is replayed, because the table carried on without you. This is the one practical argument for the RNG version of a table game over the live one on an unreliable connection.
Live play and bonuses
Live games contribute around 10% towards wagering at most casinos, and some exclude them completely. That is not a slower route to the same place, it is a more expensive one.
Clearing 35x on a 100 bonus at 10% contribution means staking 35,000. Through a live table at 99% that costs about 350 in expected losses to release a bonus worth 100. The same requirement on slots at 100% contribution means staking 3,500, costing about 140 at 96%. The better game is the worse deal, because the contribution rate more than cancels the return advantage.
Live dealer bonuses do exist as a separate category at some casinos, with their own terms and a cashback structure rather than a match. Those are worth reading properly. A general deposit match is not a live dealer offer no matter where you spend it.

- Whether single zero roulette is available, since a lobby offering only the double zero wheel costs almost twice as much to play.
- The real table minimums converted into crypto, not the fiat figure in the marketing.
- Stream quality and latency at a normal connection speed, because a table that stutters costs you decisions inside the betting window.
- What the bonus terms say about live contribution, and whether the figure on the promotion page matches the one in the full terms.
